If you take two probes and stick them in the ground, you can receive sounds similar to what you get when you touch the input of an amplifier with your finger. This is the sound of the Power Grid. You can hear my neighbor getting his roof repaired and the sound of the dimmer switch in my dining room.

  • I wonder who else got the chance to go outside my house, stick wires in the ground, spend time recording the power grid, drive back to the recording studio, and register this sound as their own and say it matched third party content when I watch who drives up my driveway because I have a dog...and Germany can't even get it Sucks to be me...me thinks it's time to look for greener pastures and take my business elsewhere...

  • This is called "Stray Voltage". I would keep your shoes on if your ground is electrified! Google "stray voltage cows" for more information.

  • That is COOL! :D
