Waysted are a hard rock band formed by UFO founding member bassist Pete Way and Scottish rocker Fin Muir in 1983. Recruiting Frank Noon (formerly with Def Leppard), Ronnie Kayfield and Paul Raymond (ex UFO), Waysted signed to Chrysalis Records and released Vices in 1983.

The band has gone through multiple lineup changes over the years, with members leaving, rejoining and leaving again, as well as periods of complete dormancy while Way pursued other projects. Waysted has featured many ex UFO personnel including Paul Raymond, Paul Chapman, Andy Parker and of course Pete Way himself ...

As of 2008, Waysted are back on the road and touring in support of their newest album The Harsh Reality.

Pete Way whom did not appear on UFO's latest album has most recently been involved in the "Strangers Of The Night" project with former UFO band mate the legendary Michael Schenker ................

"Standing at the crossroads
its a crime of liberty
where and when or with any luck?
shine a light for me
then send me down an angel
to help me find a way
through the long cold lonely nights
where many dreams were made
many dreams were made
..........................................
they lead you to temptation
make it hard not to follow
there are footsteps down our road
theres joy and sorrow
..........................................
falling in and out of love
never asking why
taking it as it comes your way
never once looking back
..........................................
if i hold this moment in my hands
tonight i know i could not let it go
thats why i keep on searching 'till i find
just might destroy myself
but never mind
i´ll be in heaven tonight
be in heaven tonight
be in heaven tonight
..........................................
they here no standing cant we stand
burned you to the core
tried and tried cant run away
frozen to the floor
well i take you up
spin you round
make you feel like leavin
there aint no detour along that road
though ill meet you at the end
..........................................
if i hold this moment in my hands
tonight i know i could not let it go
thats why i keep on searching 'till i find
just might destroy myself
but never mind
ill be in heaven tonight
be in heaven tonight
..........................................

WHOA!

...........instumental.............

if i hold this moment in my hands
tonight i know i could not let it go
thats why i keep on searching 'till i find
just might destroy myself
but never mind
ill be in heaven tonight
be in heaven tonight
be in heaven tonight

if i hold this moment in my hands
tonight i could not let it go
thats why i ill be in heaven
be in heaven tonight"

  • I think Danny Vaughn has the best voice in rock music since Ian Gillan was at his peak. Try listening to his version of Leann Rimes's "Damn" from his live album recorded in Newcastle 2 years ago. That is spine tingling.

  • Petey Way and Waysted wicked butt opening for Maiden !...I saw them as well...

  • blimey, 'save your prayers' is a class album. bought it off the back of seeing them on quo's 86/87 tour

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!

  • @paulhouston HAHA I suppose they wouldve gotten booed if they were opening for Maiden! Maiden is ooohhh so much better obviously....these guys were decent (sometimes really good actually) though it would have profited them more if they opened for Poison,MSG,Trixter,Crue...something that was more glam-like right?

  • Vocalist is similar to Joey Tempest :O

  • Ew!!! Pete should'a stayed with UFO, fer shur!!!

  • nice video :-) I brought a copy from rockonvidtrade a while , well worth it !

  • I used to play in a band that opened for Danny Vaughns band around 1983-84 on the N.Y. club circuit ( Allied Forces). I thought THEN he had a great voice...NOW I think he is one of the great voices in rock music. Very underrated.

  • saw the same tour, and they got killed in Chicago. I was 8th row center, and the only one cheering for them
