As an NROTC student, Elanie Mamaril is training for a career in the United States Navy. Although her friends don't view her any differently, Mamaril can see how the NROTC has given her a sense of confidence in her abilities... And the full scholarship with stipends doesn't hurt either.

  • @sandwhich14 yes you can.

  • I want too do NROTC in college can u enroll in it without a scholarship!

  • @superman3421565 also ew nasty to you too

  • Looks like 4 people are in the Army...

  • GPA is huge but its not an automatic guarantee. The boards want someone well rounded. They look for High School GPA, athletics, SAT/ACT scores, extracurricular activity, and community service. Money has been pretty tight in the military so scholarships aren't easy to come by. At my battalion we usually see around 30%-40% of incoming freshman with scholarships.

  • GPA GPA GPA. gpa counts the most. there are only 4 rotc scholarships cadets in my class of 45. 3 of them got it during the later part of their senior year and 1 got one when he was in college.... they looked at his h.s. gpa. they are all cadets with high school gpa's with 3.75 or higher.

  • @missinout4 But like I tried to explain, I won't serve the military just to get a free scholarship or easy job offers. I would be doing it to serve the nation and that reason only.

  • @r1oot you CLEARLY don't understand the message that this video is trying to put out. It is a great honor to serve our great nation and lead our hard working Sailors. Whether it just be the minimum requirement or 30 years. Spend a day in a life of a military member FIRST before you make such statements.
