Stacy Pennington is fighting to ensure her brothers death saves other lives. Army Staff Sgt. Steven Ochs was a strapping soldier with several combat tours under his belt when he was diagnosed with a rare cancer. He died a mere 10 months later. Ms. Pennington said doctors at Duke University told her family that the cancer was almost certainly brought on by exposure to the dangerous chemicals in the fumes Staff Sgt. Ochs breathed at American military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ms. Pennington and Staff Sgt. Steven Ochs widow and mother urge you to support legislation to shutdown the burnpits and prevent future exposures like this.
