  • Classic routine! Alan King was one of the great monologists of all time. I saw him at Westbury Music Fair a couple of times. He was a true comedic talent. There's nobody out there like him now.

  • I'm uploading something new. They're actually new comdedians and George is probably the freshest, comedian to come along in a while(he's nuts!). Let me know what you think.

  • One of the funniest things I ever saw - I remember when it was on TV. Thanks for posting. I think Alan King was the greatest! My mom reads the obits every day and when she calls me about someone of whom I should take note - I give her the "line" as she is reading - She always busts up laughing.

  • On TV was the only place I saw this bit as well. It was years ago and it's stuck with me ever since. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he was doing his one man show in NYC and asked him if he had a copy of this. He was so surprised that I remembered the bit and said that he doesn't even know if there was a copy out there. He also said that he should revive the pc because it was so good. Sadly for me, I never got to see him do it in person. A true gentleman....he is survived by........!

  • From The New York Times: Alan King, the stand-up comedian who parlayed a borscht-belt sense of humor, a tummler's cheek and a big appetite for the limelight into a thoroughgoing show business career that lasted more than half a century, died Sunday morning at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. He was 76 and lived in Kings Point, N.Y. The cause of death was lung cancer. King is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeanette.

  • I like how he tells people to stop laughing.

Plus, notice how really thick the woman's glasses are. :d

  • Loved it... a funny man

  • HILARIOUS bit. And yes, that redheaded lady looks exactly like Juliet Prowse. Well done, Alan.

  • butthurt

  • just seen him on the golden girls "bushman awaits!" haha

  • Lived to be 77. His father lived to be 96. And both of them? Do I have to deliver the punchline?

  • And the great Ludwig Von Mises is mentioned at around 3:10.

  • Alan King, you were magnificent. And... apparently you were also survived by your wife of 57 years.

  • Alan King, you are magnificent.

  • Yes he did. :p
