i find this to be a "fuck you" to the folk who insist that punk is dead. and it isn't. one might think punk is dead if they only scratch the surface and focus on what the mtv generation has co-opted from punk rock, but that is a lazy and shallow observation. look to the underground (the natural home of punk) and go to a basement show. punk is alive and well.

John Lydon's superior work is with P.I.L. The Sex Pistols was some necessary rock'n'roll conservatism for him to make great art, that didn't get ignored in the public sphere. In other words, Fuck the Sex Pistols, listen to P.I.L.

Um, Hardcore Punk has more balls than you ever will asshole. Johnny Rotten is just an old washed egotistical asswipe with nothing to do than hate on everyone who isn't the Sex Pistols or himself. I like their album but it's nothing to get a boner for. Maybe you listen to bands such as MDC, Minor Threat, DRI, Black Flag. That's true in your fucking face Punk Rock N Roll.
