This is my restored Hossfeld Bender #2 with the hydraulic conversion. I needed the power of the hydraulic for what i plan on using the bender for. But couldnt see paying the expensive unit sold by Hossfeld Bender for home use. I came up with this idea. A cheap air over hydraulic cylinder, custom bracket to allow the cylinder to swing, with soft acetal bushings for the end of the cylinder.

  • that, all very nice but that cylinder does not work in the horizontal position

  • So are you going to add a spring or bungie cords for the release direction? How many turns on the screw required to have the jack release?

  • Very Nice, Take a look at my Harbor Freight Pipe bender I made from their Electric Log Splitter and dies from their Hand pump bender. I also plan to fab up other dies for flat stock ect.
