LucasArts Announces New Online Star Wars Game

One of the oldest rumors in the gaming world has finally been confirmed: LucasArts and Bioware are developing a massively multiplayer online Star Wars game. It's called "The Old Republic," and will let players choose from a variety of character types as they join the game. LucasArts invited Senior Editor Darren Gladstone to their new campus in the Presidio in San Francisco to talk about the new game.

No dude, they wouldn't make this game only for high-end pcs. That'll cut their player base to half. A company is not concerned with gaming elitist console or PC. They are concerned with numbers and money. So it can probably be ported to consoles and can run on minimum settings for lower end cards.

I'm a little tired of the WoW bashing and the bandwagon jumping every time a new mmo is released. It looks like a good game although I'm worried it wont be quite as massively multiplayer as other mmos.
