@therighteoustroll It depends on what age group you consider "young adults", but everyone under 30 and approximately older than 10 are considered Millennials (Gen-Y). If you say young adults like age 32 yr olds then yes those are X-ers, but if you're talking about 20-som those are Millennials. Keep in mind there are differences between a cohort's oldest members and its youngest members. The term "Millennials" was coined in 1990 by Strauss-Howe. Marketers used Gen-Y because they thought Y=X^2.

@dynamicmaxwell120 These catagories are very arbitrary. People (we) started using "generation X" and then "Y" long before marketers and academia jumped on board. Gen Y were teens in the late 90s, X's were teens in late 80s. That period is when the term 1st came around- for us by us. There's a BIG diff between the young adults now, who are more like X, and the teens/20's of five to ten years ago.

@sisyphus650 Zers starting date is after 2000. Both generations were cuddled. The difference between the 4 gen. Decreasinly protected (Boomers), Under protected (Xers), Increasingly protected (Millennials), Over protected (Zers). The last two generations are very different and the only reason why they seem similar today is because the Zers are still kids. We'll know more about the difference when Zers get older. Demographers once thought Millennials were going to be GenX to power of 2.

It's funny, the kids he's talking about isn't actually Gen Y (better known as Millennials) they're actually the generation after Millennial. If history says anything, the kids (not the youth) of today are poised to become another generation of great artistes. Extremely talented artists. Experts in the field they are in.

Dude, I was raised by two boomers. They were nothing like Gregger's Dad. They would just wordlessly pick me up and carry me off kicking and shouting to the car if I acted up at the playground. My grandfather, on the other hand, was one of the first Airbornes & had the bullet scars to prove it. He took crap from nobody. Good news if the neighbor's kid is picking on you because he'd teach you to box. Bad news if your parents caught you using his advice!

I don't know... I've seen a lot of guys my age being the baby boomer type. Course, they're also boozers and dole bludgers... lol
