I guess no other leader imposed such respect/fear as Hitler did. The crowd and the athlets did the "Heil, Hitler" greeting. In Rio 2007 Pan-American games the president at that time, Lula da Silva, was booed by the audience and the Brazilian Olympic Committee had to open the games suddenly.
