@22v68 They played it in the film because they played it at every drag ball in NYC for YEARS. This was the National Anthem in a way that no other song has ever come close to. It was a staple in all the "fierce" clubs (the Garage, the Loft, the Catacombs, Better Days) as well as being beloved by every straight party-going denizen of Brooklyn, the Bronx, Newark and Philly. Is it any wonder? No song is more danceable. They can play it at my funeral some day.
