Ra Ra Riot played twice on Nov 2, 2010. They played a free in-store at Criminal Records in Atlanta, GA, then followed that with their show at Masquerade HELL.
Their opening band was GIVERS.
I'd say the in-store was probably the better performance, but mostly because of sound and location. It was a stripped down set of four songs (I recorded three w/ my iPhone). The Masquerade HELL venue is an odd shaped venue and the band was having sound issues. It was as if something had changed since sound check and they were trying to make do. At times, the mic was too hot and caused feedback in the speakers or they lost sync because they couldn't hear each other.
I recorded a lot of the show because the last time I saw Ra Ra Riot, I was using a new camera that I didn't know had crappy audio on the video.
The opening band, GIVERS, was so much fun and had ridiculous energy. I just wish the lead male would stop making this face where he'd stick out his tongue and roll his eyes back into his head. It was gross to watch and distracting. The LP comes out later this month. Check them out.
HOW DOES THIS VIDEO ONLY HAVE 215 VIEWS?
