A scene from the 1960s soap opera Peyton Place. In this scene, Betty Anderson (Barbara Parkins) cheats with Rodney Harrington (Ryan O'Neal) shortly before turning to her husband Steven Cord (James Douglas).

I do not own the material.

  • This must have been from 1967 or 1968 before Betty divorced Steven and married Rodney for the second time.

  • Very good. The scene is from the summer of 1967, the end of the third season.

  • Hey now! But 'cheating' seems an awful strong verb for what is essentially the passive reception of a quick kiss.

  • Barbara Parkins was the cutest thing in shoe leather! There was something mysterious about her. A certain cynicism or was it aloofness or a fear to let herself be passionate?

  • @antiann52 I loved her Commentary with EONLINE's Ted Casablanca on the Valley of the Dolls DVD

  • @jvarela965 "Is" she is still with us--68 years old I beieve

  • Ryan 'Oneal is still good looking even today.

  • Barbara Parkins was so beautiful

  • As you can probably tell,1967 was a year in which I was heavily watching Peyton Place!-Richard John Ranke

(For the record,I started seeing Peyton Place around January,1966 and was a faithful viewer until the summer of 1968.)
