  • @unocname Kettlebell has a distinct advantage over barbells and dumbbells in that the center of gravity of the weight is displaced from the handle, making it more challenging to control. Plus, they're portable and virtually indestructible. The thick handle also challenges the grip more than the others.

  • used kettlebells for the first time in my life this week and I have to say.... wow i love em. I can get such a better work out using them as opposed to dumbells. I don't get that holy crap feeling in my arms an muscles till after i'm done with my workout. I'm investing in my first pair tomorrow. :)

  • just curious...did you make up the 2x tgu or is that a "rkc sanctioned" movement. not like i care terribly, just curious because its pretty far from classic tgu form...impressive in any event.

  • I can't take credit for it. This stuff has probably been done since the old-time strongman days. However, I did use RKC principals during the lift, which helps! ;-)

  • I've got to get back into weight training! I used to work out with kettlebells in the eighties. Nothing beats them! Nothing! People shy away from them, because they don't look fashionable and trendy. But, it's their loss. Kettlebells rule! My weight workout was mostly dumbbell and kettlebell centered. And kettlebells, by far, are the greater challenge, and the most creative of the two workouts. Nobody's paying me to say this. You just got to try them and you'll know it's just the truth.

  • A serious kettlebell workout is great. This stuff is nuts. It's going to send somebody to the doctor. This is nothing but arrogance and ego.

  • Now that's what I call a strong grip :)
