Fare evasion has risen from $50million to 80$million due to ticket inspectors being told to "go easy" on people when Myki was introduced and give them the benefit of the doubt. This has lead to people purposely fare evading. As reported on Channel 10 5pm evening news, 8th February 2011

  • @fivethreeseven537 LOL didn't notice anything until this.

  • The cost of running your service will have also risen dramatically due to the cost of all your fan-dangled equipment (which doesn't work) and the cost of hiring your army.

Don't be scared to take a step back, we will love you for it

Until then my money will stay in my pocket for one reason, spite

  • what the fuck is wrong with the reporters voice.. the second lady. sounds like she's speaking while holding her noise.

  • *sigh* We can all be honest, buy the right ticket upfront and pay to use the system appropriately but seriously...

What they are doing with our money is mostly ridiculous things that dont give back to the public.

over $1.3 billion on Myki when the infrastructure is in desperate need of emergency upgrades to effectively operate and manage increasing passenger loads.

  • Abusive Ticket Inspectors are not the answer by the way metro

feels like the movie 1984 with them around
