Journey to Atlantis at Sea World Orlando

This is Journey to Atlantis at Sea World Orlando in Orlando, FL. This is considered a Water Coaster in part that it's part log flume and part steel roller coaster. JTA was the first Water Coaster ever built. This one was built by Mack and opened in 1998. There are many surprises one this ride. There are two big drops on the ride, the first one is the one you see out front. The second is a twisting and roller coaster like second drop in the dark in the back of the ride. Also, the small drop out front is the one that gets the first two rows absolutely soaked.

According to some sources on Screamscape, The Blackstone Group (Sea World's new owners) have dropped a little money bomb on this ride as they've asked Sea World to restore as much of this rides special effects back to the way it was when it first opened.

that little hill at 1:03.... you get soaked if you are in the front the boat goes dwn in the water so u get wet

wow nice ride really i love it is one of the best on seaworld iwent there &igo to tht ride was COOL!!! you got to have a towel! cause u get alot of wet!!!

the 1st time i went on this ride, i sat in the 3rd row so i only got slightly wet. The 2nd time i went on it, i sat in the front row and got completely soaked. I walked like i just crapped myself!!

i was there atleast 1 week ago and i went to the front row. the first drop comes along and i was like big deal. since i was in the front the second drop was nothing until all the fricken water came in. I was wearing jeans and i could not get them dry for 2 days. we broke the hair dryer in our hotel. great ride though.
