1985 GM M1010 CUCV

This is my 1985 GM M1010 CUCV Ambulance that I bought in November 2009 from a local city auction. This was not bought though a GL auction and was a steal as no one there knew what it was. Only wish it was still either green or desert tan, but still looks good all black. They removed the bumper for some reason, but it was in the back at the sale. I managed to put it back on myself with a 3-ton jack balancing it on the winch bottom. I did not see a reason why it needed to be removed to get the winch out, but I guess they had too. I plan to install my 8000lb winch and then add some nice KC lights. The electric was converted to 12vlot by the city and only has one alternator. This is good and bad, the bad is if they did something wrong, but so far seems OK. I am going to keep it black as there is documented proof that there where black M1010 in service with the military. Plus I want to keep the SWAT look of it and take it to shows when I get it fixed up. The M1010 Ambulance vehicles are not as common as the pickups and blazers. I would love to get a M1028 service vehicle, but the one I found locally is $4900. Oh well, maybe some day one will show up for cheap.
