i say this as an lsu fan, jack cristil was the greatest play by play voice in the sec. he called the games as they were. he didn't sugar coat things or get overdramatic. he should be inducted into the college football hall of fame. i always looked forward to our games in starkville because i could listen to his call. he will be missed.

@Arkansas19852003 Like you know what you are talking about. He is a hall-of-famer, and very decorated. No one can paint the picture like Jack can. I doubt if you ever have called a game before. Listening to Jack, is like going back in time. The #1 rule in broadcasting.... if you have to yell in excitement, you aren't good, and not professional. You can say what you want, but Jack's credentials far out-weight your very small opinion.
