  • The idea, I like it, but once the 8th notes kick in I feel it's too hectic, too much. The beginning and quicker tempo were spot on, but I'd say clean that part up a little, otherwise well done mate!

  • @TheGarrett1127 Thanks mate. You're right, the fast notes are rushing a bit, I think, that in this very moment, I was paying more attention to the click rather than the feeling of the song.

  • nice, but a little bit up tempo, isn't it?

  • @acarrascoy Hi, that's how I felt the piece back in 2009. I still like it a bit faster than the original:)

  • Thanks for your comments. Actually, the orchestration was meant to cover up my sloppy playing:) Meanwhile I've taken a solid piano course at a music college and things got noticeably better:) You can also check my electronic work at soundcloud. Just look for Iceland Forever there or add /iceland-forever to the site's address:) Lots of strings, some piano, distorted guitars and odd trip-hop beats. Hope you'll like it:)

  • Slow down, bro! Slow down!

  • I love this version. Music in a sense can be compared to poetry. Different Styles of reading and putting stress on different syllabubs will definitely change the meaning. If we all read it the same there will be no need for commentary or opinions. I feel that that your piece gives a feeling of escape or revelation. While the original makes a sorrowful & being cast away feeling. Still, there is reverberation, not because it is a cover, but because you understood the original.Just saying, thanks :)

  • I like this one too!!!

  • i'm obviously a fringe element here because i'm not a fan of the quicker tempo, largely due to the fact that you don't get to feel the notes as you do in the original, but it does help set it apart from said original. that being said modifying this work shows nothing of your skills as a musician or artist of any form. it would be like taking a perfect sunset and adding a few brushstrokes. does it help? maybe. does it show any of your skill? no. try turning a regular day into a perfect sunset.

  • ugh, slept over at my friend's today, she said she loves me, why didn't i make the move... just why. time for me to grow some balls

  • 12 people don't have music sense...

  • @Strap1205 I don't think so, Piano is in perfect tempo with Cello and Violins. Otherwise, Cello and Violins should be slower!?!

    Just my opnion.

  • Very well but you should have leave it in the original tempo - it seems very "stressed"! And you should add a light reverb on the string sections - they seem to present.

  • I don't like it speeded up, if it's slow u have more time to enjoy the song I love the original one it's one of the most amazing songs if ever heard I love the pure sound of the piano it gets me goosebumps everytime I listen to it ;)

  • This is just amazing!!! I fell in love!
