I agree the batman voice could have been a bit better but the brilliance of heath ledger's performane more than made up for it.

bale was terrible for one thing. how can you stand that voice he did. u want to throw up when u hear it. see "the coon" of south park to understand how stupid the voice was. maybe with the original cast of batman original it could have been good. but you had to have a better costume and car at least. Ledger was very good though, but that's the only bright point in the film.

it's so nice to see the old joker back. Those of you who know your batman history would know that Heath's Joker most resembles the original idea. A complete psychotic nut job, but a genius too. Batman's biggest arch nemesis. Then the 50's happened and god forbid that there was to much violence in comic books, so they censored the character a lot and turned him into a harmless clown. In the last few decades they've been returning him to his original self and finally we get to see him in a movie!

Jim Carrey couldn't pull Riddler off without coming off as Jim Carrey in leotards.
Jim Carrey with green hair and make-up wouldn't be any better.
It's called a part for a reason and the key is to ACT it. Heath Ledger's performance will eclipse anything Jim Carrey could ever hope to do.
