Can anyone tell me what this is signifying.  I feel rather stupid that I don't "get it". I loved the video and the song, just don't understand what they are trying to imply by the presents.

I see it as an anti-consumerist message. Obsolete or easily fixed material goods are discarded and replaced, and the sasquatch guy is trying to get them to realize that they don't need to do that. He gives them their discarded goods.
