@blackdot1128, Yeah, most of these polymer guns are strange looking, but as Forrest Gump would have said, "Beauty IS as Beauty Does."

@0neDoomedSpaceMarine the NATO standard version of 9x19mm is in fact rated as an overpressure variant of standard 9x19mm but i still think that .40S&W all in all is still a better cartridge for both police and military service, i think the same way about .300 AAC blackout and 6.8mm SPC over 5.56x45 NATO

Did you buy this one or is it a T&E gun? Love the two tone..

I think the military might be using 9x19mm +P, which apparently provides significantly better penetration than regular parabellum.
I don't know about the performance of .40 S&W +P, but there's stories that those can cause older production run Glocks to explode. People joke about it, but I'm pretty sure Glock fixed it. Something about the chambers not being properly supported or something.

my question is why doesn't the military adopt .40 S&W? i mean NATO standards aside, it has proved amazingly effective will police forces across Canada the US and Australia.

How anyone cold have given that a thumbs down is beyond me...

Have you found the grip safety on the xdm(s) to be any sort of problematic?

@hickok45 I was looking for this video the other day and noticed it isn't in the Springfield playlist. Just encase you didn't know.

Are there any disadvantages to using this firearm for CC ? Im waiting on one in the mail and it will be my primary carry weapon
Looks cool but in this economy I don't know too many people shopping for pistols designed primarily for use in competition.

@ColumbusExoticCars , Yep, if you're not employed, unemployment is 100%, as they say. Must be a lot of people still working, though; I see the gun shops and gun shows packed every weekend. Hopefully, they are not borrowing on the 401K in order to buy ammo. :-)
