actually the burn outs are necessary. they warm up the tires for better traction. and it they are drag tires they get sticky

The Vette was not factory. I am thinking in this vid it was running a nitrous setup. Either that or the blower setup. But no, it wasn't stock at all.
And as others have mentioned... Go further into the video. There's a 7-second Camaro SS Turbo making two passes as well.
