Dump valve is poor terminology, could be a BOV, could be an exhaust cutout valve. Either way, nice Antonov AN-26 at 1:29.

@xscagx some diesel running higher boost still have compressor surge with a proper working waste gate, so seems like you dont know much
talking from experiance owning a 2.4 td running 0.6 bar and once it drops below 1500rpm compressor surge happens...

This guy has no idea now a turbo diesel engine works. In layman's terms for you most(back in the day, and still today) diesel turbo's use a actuator valve that is controlled by turbo boost, it's doesn't blow off any pressure. It moves the exhaust gases around the turbo to slow it down some if pressure is to much but constant pressure is maintained. With your set up you are losing all benefits of a Turbo.

@xscagx mate thanks for comment :) i know how work diesel and how work petrol engines... this dump valve i fix just for fun .. lol not looking to get more power or something, this my every day car, go to work and home, and very cheap on fuel.. lol
dump valve do nothing, only noise lol
