@sokitjamz Yeah I've met him too, in Oslo after the mtpt2 concerts they held here and he was incredibly cool. I event pestered him in his hotel with my guitars and he was really nice still. later that day he came out from the soundcheck to sign my guitar after he said he would earlier in the hotel. I was just a kid and he did that still. He deserves everything he has worked so hard for. The same goes for the rest of the gang. James and I had a chat about how great Freddie Mercury was even!

@merqury5 John is one of the most mild mannered men/musicians I've ever met. Incredibly humble and kind man, He's good size, sure he's built but he ain't fat by any means lol. He's about 6'1 or so.

I am afraid you are in error. I can post a picture of me and him shoulder to shoulder where he is at least a head shorter than I and I am 1,90m so give it up. But what does it matter. He's still great!

i don't know if you've ever met the man, sure he may have fat arms but he is so short you wouldn't believe it.
Just goes to show - size doesn't matter - its how you use the G-string.
This is maybe my favorite passage of all dream theater music and the clip gave me major goosebumps. It IS fantastic. I get so frustrated when people say that all petrucci knows is shredding - they don't know the half of it.
