How big is the fish tank and what is the capacity of the pump?
-
is it necessary to turn the water off every now and again or is it fine to keep it on

I know the process. I also have a small system myself. However, I have seen people add seaweed extract, fish emulsion, iron, minerals, and etc. I was just curious as to what you added. I figured this day and age, we all need to stick together and share as much information as possible to aid one another.

This looks great. Thank you for showing it to us. What kind of additives are you putting into your system?

I have two tanks. 1 is 3000lt and the other 1000lt. They are resonably big pumps but I cant remember.

My water is on a timer. It turns on for 15 minutes every hour. When it is off it is draining back into the fish tank.

Yeah no worries. I haven't added anything to my system at all. I prefer to keep it simple as possible. Sometimes I think if you keep adding things you can make it go up and down and cause issues. It's going really well so far. I am planning the next stage of a larger tank and 2 more grow beds.

FLIPWILSON1 this is an aquaponics system. No additivies at all. There are fish in the tank that were hiding. We feed the fish and their waste is pumped through the growbeds. In a nutshell, the water is cleaned by the growbeds and returned to the fish tank. The grow beds use the fish waste to feed the plants.
