@deloggio LOL, I thought you just recently graduated. Glad you're doing what you want in life. I did too but ended up losing both legs and part of my left arm. Worth it anyway I guess.

@ItsMrThegamerguy2010 what kind jobs are out there for someone who’s has a JD apart from being an attorney? -future law student here...maybe..

AVOID LAW SCHOOL! You're gambling $100,000 to fight for the limited availability of legal jobs you will have to fight for with other unemployed grads now and in the future. I worked for a lawyer who is still paying off his law school debt. The pay isn't great for the vast majority of lawyers.

Whatever you do, do NOT go to law school because it is a severely over-glutted field and the majority of new JDs will not find real jobs in the legal profession. If you are seriously considering law school, you owe it to yourself to conduct large amounts of research before you ruin your life with huge amounts of student loan debt. Seek out the law school scambusting blogs such as the ones at Blogspot: JDScam, FlusterCucked, LawSchoolScam and search for the JD Underground discussion forum.

Here's an idea. Don't go to law school just because you hear that you'll get a guaranteed job there. Get an education that you know you can pay, and that you're willing to really work for. That gets you MUCH farther than an education that happens to be popular that year.

@deloggio Ok, don't answer. To all watching this video, just know: She never addressed her comment about "just taking" public interest jobs. These "just take" jobs do not exist. Public interest jobs are EXTREMELY hard to get, harder then firm jobs (where you get raped up the ass). Please see my video "The Noble Profession of Law: to see how you will be treated there. Again, she is LYING, the public interest jobs are NOT fallbacks. Thanks, Lemmings!
I definitely agree you shouldn't go to law school to guarantee you'll get rich. You also shouldn't go to medical school, business school, or grad school. No degree of any sort guarantees an income. Do what you love, even if it's making animated cartoons for You Tube. If what you love is getting rich, see if you can study bank robbery or counterfeiting, and pray you don't get caught.

First, I have attended and graduated from law school, passed the bar and received a license. Second, I haven't addressed the content of your argument because there isn't any. Third, I don't play flame war. I won't answer you any more. Then you'll get to crow about how my silence must mean you're right, trying to engage me in your solipsism. And I won't answer. 'Bye now!

@deloggio Glad to hear you graduated. Graduating from any accredited law school is tough and deserves respect. How is the job hunt? Is it really as tough to land a job as a newly minted lawyer as everyone seems to think so these days?

@GohModley i graduated and started my business in the mid-80s, so It's hard for me to comment. Every client who graduated last year AND kept in touch with me is working in the legal profession, although I think only one is making six figures. But I'm the kind of schmuck who asks stupid questions like "are you happy?" instead of "What's your salary?"

Hey, I've got a great idea: don't apply to law school. Then you'll have nothing to worry about.

I've always felt that people who have something negative to say with no solutions aren't very helpful. What would you do instead? Tell everyone else not to go to law school, so there'll be a job for you?
