Yellow

While the rest of the country basked in record April temperatures I sketched with dark clouds flying over... it was about 13 degrees lower here than most other places. The location had been visited by a zealous team with motorised hedge cutters and they went to town with the trimming, butchering half of the tree in the left centre of the sketch improving the view? There were rapeseed fields everywhere. I sketched out with yellow and wished I'd started with a fluorescent mauve. I really needed to offset the greens and yellows and so I introduced the warmer colours later to try to unify the whole sketch. It was an enjoyable hour or two.
