In this 50 minute documentary Canadian journalist Michael Ignatieff documents the British Nationalism espoused by the protestant people in Northern Ireland.

He exposes the savage ethnic cleansing carried out by the IRA and Sinn Fein and the hundreds of murders of protestants in Republican controlled areas.

He also learns about the historic bonfire tradition and parading culture which is so well known and respected around the world.

  • Did they burn a cross?

  • I find this host unbearable. His bias is obvious, and to make it worse, he is passive aggressive. His ending speech is the most irritating. 15 years after the fact, I have been to Northern Ireland twice and love it. It is one of my ancestral homes and it is BEAUTIFUL country filled with absolutely kind, fine people. In my travel, I have seen progress and respect between the two communities. An equal society, does not destroy one tradition in order to promote another. March on gents.

  • i would like said documentary maker to make another about the centenary of the ulster covenant which never mentioned in original and how ulster is now and the peace process it looks to me that he came in used it then he fucked off never to come back again. WATP

  • @ganjaking187 Sorry but the many idiotic inaccuracy's in your original post is actually laughable how you have been fed such shite as you grew up that you believed.

  • @ganjaking187 It is this status that we believe is invested upon the Monarch and therefore we swear our allegiance to it. The crown could also be defined as the country. The crown is basically the UK. I think it is you 'gangaking187' that needs to wake up and read a book. Judging by your name, I have come to the conclusion that weed has frazled your brain. Good day to you.

  • How one sided is dis a dirty hun doin a documentary on huns

  • SUP BITCHEZ

  • I wonder if Dick Sterritt speaks for many Loyalists when he basically says that "we've loved our mother (Britain) so much, we've been so loyal to her and now she doesn't love us back (abandons us)". So I could see how some might resort to protest behaviour (violence/democratic process) to get her attention...Dr. Freud would have a field day with this...

  • just white trash

  • @ganjaking187 And the pope is German too.... the current Queen may be evil but that is only as she is a servant of the pope. The British Crown is just one of the many lap dogs of the papacy, catholics are nuts for supporting that organization. The Rothschilds are the vatican bankers, they are nothing but hofjuden (court jews) for the imperial powers. Note that at one point the head oh the Rothschild clan had kissed the ring of the pope.
