Pioneer CDJ-850s with Traktor Pro and Windows 7. USA CDJs. The .tsi file that is linked everywhere to the .jp Pioneer website appears to be different than the one available via pioneerelectronics.com. That was a 30 minute headache trying to figure why the .jp version didn't work.

  • You must update your CDJ firmware to support the midi channels and move one to channel 2.

  • I am convinced this setup is useless for clubs if you are switching sets with another DJ. The ASIO driver appears to require both CDJs to be plugged in at the same time and with PC mode makes the CDJ that is live unusable. You are better off with one of the NI control modules than this...

  • Hey David, I'm trying to set up 2 CDJ-850 with Traktor but they appear to be playing only on channel 1, do you know whats going on? I'm using a DJM-350...

  • hey bro can you shoot me a message...i tried hooking up my 850s with my traktor dou 2 and not sure what i need to upload or switch my setting to...kinda works but doesnt..thanks bro

  • What? This cdj won't work in vinyl mode when controlling traktor? Wtf is the point

  • @Davideturner I agree, this is totally an issue for club Djs. Also, the fact that it lacks vinyl emulation for scratching through this way of connection kinda blows. If you're a club Dj next up on a set looking to play house or something easy of that nature, just bring 2 usb flash drives with your music collection loaded up through Rekordbox. Much easier and less of a hassle. Besides, you could also do this for open format but it would probably take more time to configure your playlists.
