A 1960s recording made at the time when Kid Thomas and Manny Paul frequently worked together and Barry Martyn pulled them together to record with his band. We have a lot to thank Barry "Kid" Martyn for in making many New Orleans revival recordings available. Barry was known as the "Kid" when he formed his first band at the age of 15. Barry on dms, Thomas Valentine tpt and vocal, Emanuel Paul ten sax, Pete Dyer tbn, (one of the best in the business) Richard Simmons pno, Terry Knight bs.

  • @rezzab40 As a tenor player myself (of some 50 years experience!) it's gratifying to learn of people still being turned onto playing jazz by Manny Paul. Hope you succeed with your efforts!

  • I just bought a tenor sax and love Manny Paul, I agree about Victory Bounce

  • i have this on record, thanks to Paul Adams who got me turned on to Manny Paul.

To me the best track is Victory Bounce
