Pretty sure she doesn't need riding advice. She worked through it just fine. My horse does this all the time! Especially in new arenas, he practically LOOKS for things to spook at.

My horse is 17 hh, also. It's fun when she spooks though. I barely even know she is, because I'm used to it from when she would always spook when I mountd and of the wind blowing and stuff. Now she only spooks eh...I'd say when I JUMP onto her back SOMETIMES. lol :) She's so fun! I love to ride and sometimes jump her bareback.

it wasnt that bad. regain your balance and keep on going. ride him back to the "scary" area and squeeze the reins lots this wil show him that your safe going near it and there is nothing to be afraid of!:)
