  • @parker1981xxx Yes, veterinarians are real medical doctors. Veterinarians go to school at least 4 years for doctoral-level study, and receive a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Vet schools are among the most difficult programs to get into, with approximately 28 in the entire US (there are over 160 schools for the study of medicine for human patients ). Veterinarians perform surgeries, prescribe medication, administer anesthesia and use many of the same diagnostic tools used in human medicine.

  • Vets are called Dr too?
