I agree, Indian accents are popular because of their Comedic value. Everything sounds funny in an Indian accent, and this is a trait that should be appreciated. The Indian accents are full of entertainment, and like Russel said, "Everything is Funny in an Indian Accent"...

With this accent, you automatically become a comedian and that's great!

Can you stop being so defensive? NOT EVERYONE is out to make fun of you! It's just that Indians IN GENERAL are like this. Like when people talk about the USA, they imagine FAT ASSES, but that doesn't mean everyone in the US is FAT! Its just a stereotype that's used for COMEDY! The north Indian accent sometimes is even funnier than the south Indian accent... All Indian Accents of English and even other languages are often enjoyable and very comedic. Like Russel says, "Everything is funny with an Indian accent"...
