I am whitedragonawa.

This is some of the activities you can expect to see at night time on the beaches of Boracay. Not the touristy bar stuff, but the scenery when just walking around the beaches. Not ignoring what its really like on the island and how some of the locals really live. Professional beggars? Yes. Even so, they are still in poverty and its amazing to see that this once beautiful island has become trashy due to tourism. Not that tourism is bad, its just that it has become so commercialized and money is made so much yet the locals are pretty much left with the same thing they had before...nothing. But then they do make money off of the few tourists who have good hearts.
Did I share the gospel message to someone? Yes, and I don't apologize for it. When others are too busy going to beach bars and looking for prostitutes, hopefully more others will try to help out with poverty issues and spreading the Word. With all of the glamour and glitz that Boracay offers in its beautiful tropical location it attracts many, a mission trip group for their "break" in between their feeding the poor kids in the Philippines. yet there are already enough starving poor kids on Boracay island. Maybe someone should do a mission trip there, not for the fact its a good vacation resort, but because they want to hang out inland with the locals and help build a church. Who knows! Yes I am a Christian so if you cannot deal with that then please don't waste time watching this video only for you to make an ignorant comment about your false accusations of imperialism. Who did worse? The commercialization, big corporations of secular people, or the few true Christian missionaries who went to lend a helping hand? Get over ourselves people.

  • very first time i went to Boracay island was when i was around 10 years old and it was way different than there were no huge hotels it was mainly village huts and lots of locals living in them I did witness a lot of poor families that live in them, Just recently went back their w the family and it's way more touristy, there were a lot more child beggars around 2009 on the resort but in 2010 i didn't see really any. Maybe they put all the poor locals more away from the tourist part of the beach

  • @worldofemotion11 That is pretty sad. Its like most of the locals were born there and cant just walk around the beaches anymore. But that is life. I didnt think Boracay was all that its basically a place for sin just to do whatever and get drunk. For me I just liked the nature and the water. I was tehre for 3 days.

  • when i went to Boracay 3 years ago it was like this a lot more street kids in poverty but now Boracay there is really none of that, there are still some poor kids selling stuff but not much begging. I wonder what happened to all the really poor and beggars on the island did they get sent away or did they set home for them?

very well documented sadly this is what it's like in a developing counties where there is a huge difference between the very poor and the very rich, i been to India.

  • @worldofemotion11 Thanks a lot man for being an enlightened viewer and not some holier than thou white liberal tourist or some angry pinoy.

Anyway I was tehre in 2009 so i havnt been back I hope the kids are alive and safe. Oh well.

  • Enj0y your stay in b0racay l0l.your the 0ne l0oking for beggar..the didnt ask anything fr0m you but your the 0ne offering m0ney or f0od to them.if u want to help s0me p0or people in my country, you d0nt need to use video.d0nt put my country d0wn.your lucky your country is n0t p0or like mine but our culture is the best in the w0rld..l0ts p0or c0untry all arround the w0rld n0t 0nly philiPpines

  • sadly this is the reality of a 'poor country' like the Philippines most people do live way below the poverty line ($1 a day and they have to spend that for food each day) and are very lucky to have 1 meal a day, it's sad to see children in poverty or living on the streets. The video might be sad and shocking but after all he is showing the reality that the majority are living below poverty line and this is how they live.

Great video and very well documented!!! he takes notice of the poverty.

  • Well if im the president i will change my country..i will help them all but i am 0nly simple resident who care's about street people or h0meless..i l0ve my country and thanks that you also l0ve my country

  • @raytoni1 I never called people monkey boys. If I did mention they are hanging on the bamboo poles like monkeys that is completely different. Stop being an idiot. I went to borcay not because i wanted to, but becaue the FilAms I was with wanted me to go. I went to YOUr country to help feed poor people and give them clothes because I love filipinos. Stop lying and slandering me and you are a racist.

  • @MaharlikaAWA yeah... and what your doing is not racism, huh??!!... calling those poor boys as monkey boys??!!! and what are you??? WHITE TRASH!!! go back to your place... wherever it is!!! you're just adding garbage here... you cant even pronounce b.o.r.a.c.a.y... simple as that... and i'm the ignorant one??!!! go back to your hole... ANDREW.... WHITE TRASH!!!!

  • @raytoni1 Love your straw man argument, your racism, and ignorance all in one. Keep it coming and keep representing how positive filipinos are.

  • yeah, you're right andrew.... boracay is so full o'shit... guess i'll just bomb it someday, so's the whites will learn something....

  • @MaharlikaAWA ok fella i wont be so quick with my opinonated slant watching it again you dont seem to be ivnverted :) and i may very well have presumed beyond the call of rational peace to you ....

  • @PUFFEDUPUSS Whatever man...what you said is true to an extent and happens a lot but telling me to go somewhere else is stupid. In fact if you knew why I was even there it wasnt that I thought "Hey i want to go to boracay and have fun!" watch the rest of my videos.

  • hey you preach to the rich they are the ones who wont get into the kingdom of heaven and yes folk will eat shit if there hungry and sell anything to feed there familys and themselves ...look at these starving kids isnt it awfull have some kookies .how olds your child ? thought about god recently..next thing these guys have sex for money aint girls .....you should do somwhere not so chalenging for your caliber peace out

  • @Mariagaceec Lost of foreigners love it for sex tourism and also since its cheap to buy stuff in philippines and boracay is a tourist spot.

I loved boracay too and it is totally beautiful but there is some sad things in it as well. Dont you know foreigners use up the philippines for their own pleasure and leave the local people in dumps?

  • Are you seriously concern? Or you just want to show the people that BORACAY is have many beggars ... Please stop doing that!! All foreign loves BORACAY..

  • @vinylbanner You never met me. I dont know you.

I think you are clearly wrong to judge my intentions. Stop being so self righteous and take your angry engery and do something productive with it instead of judging me. I was not a tourist, and i was forced to go to Boracay against my will because the people I was with wanted to go and I had no where to stay in Manila. So get over yourself!

  • @MaharlikaAWA I do something about it, - telling the background, how stupid turists create drunken parents who cannot take care of their kids. They where there before the tourists, but not beggin. Its easy and wery selfish to create such a film, to glorify yourself, and then ask others to take care of the problems. In fact we try to take care of the problems, both local and expat organisations, who now about the problem and the BACKGROUND for it.

I think I met you, so I know you was working.

  • @vinylbanner If it wasnt for us tourists your island wouldnt be making any money and the philippine government would have sold your island to china or something. Its your own countries fault for creating beggars not the white american tourist. You need to get a life you selfish person. I was not thinking anyone was an african or an aboriginie because I knew better. Ive studied the philippines a lot before I even went and knew all about the different tribes. You dont know me or my intentions!

  • @vinylbanner Yeah well maybe you should do something about it instead of talking so much rubbish. At least I brought an eye to the situation with my video. I didnt go there to save the islanders or redeem the ati tribesmen. So get off your self righteous high horse and shut up. At least I care, unlike you who lived there for years and couldnt care and just wants to preach against me. I was not a tourist, I was doing a lot of work in the Philippines and the people I was with made me go to Boracay

  • You are one of those stupid turists creating those beggars. I have been living there for years, and can tell you the kids you gave cookies are selling those cookies back to the vendor for half the price as soon you are gon, to get money for the parents to drink. The black you thougt were africans are aborigines, they live in a cave down in station 3, and the more money you give their kids, there more drunk the parents get. I have seen this for years. The guy laing on the beach was drunk.

  • oh by the way on your video at the start description it says 'bums' there ain't any bums in the Philippines like Boracay as many people work for survival and don't have much money at all, poverty there are the majority and those locals who don't have much money at all..
