@hardstyle905 who knows.. maybe less, maybe not. recoil will still be there, and so would the air movement. but lack of sound waves could help the air to disperse in the range chamber. need to remember, the guy didn't have a good stance, so chances are, he would have been tossed back anyways.

@danratsnapnames I'm not sure if your just a troll looking for an argument, but Im bored so what the heck I will respond.... I dont know who "We" are, or what type of .50 cal. they are firing, there is a big differnce between 50 BMG and a 50 cal. black powder load, it also makes a big differnce if you are firing a lightweight bolt action rifle off your shoulder or if it is a big heavy gun on a bi-pod or sand bag with a blowback mech. How about backing up what you have to say with a link?

@ultramegabob2 yea, newtons law does apply, but not the reason why the guy flew backwards, we shoot 50cal's all the time and nobody goes flying backwards. you only see this sort of thing in rooms like this, that allow the air pressure and stance to affect the shooter greatly.
