With his business partner Paul de Senneville, Toussaint launched the solo career of the French pianist Richard Clayderman, by whom this piece is played. For more about Clayderman, and the organisation for which he the musical 'frontman', see:
http://www.clayderman.co.uk
In this performance I used the piano solo version published in the originsl 'The Piano Solos of Richard Clayderman' (the first volume of a series of five, now out of print, but replaced by later compilations). The solo version of this piece was published in 1979. On the website Hervé Roy is credited as arranger for this piece, and Clayderman's recording has some background string accompaniment which echo the piano phrases. Nevertheless, I think the piece is viable as a solo, and the published version matches quite closely what Clayderman plays.
