For what it's worth, Hitler was Austrian born but became a German citizen in 1932, just before becoming Chancellor in 1933. So he was kinda both.

@pimpedvw Dont be so angry man. I love the culture, I have been to Germany, Austria, Switzerland. I love it. My point is that, it surprises me that Hitler could find himself so close to this culture, regardless of where he came from, he is assocated with Germany. I did not mean to offend any Germans by that statement, it was more a compliment to the beer drinking and polka culture that I love so much.

I think you can take your own advice and ask what I meant before spewing yourself.
