Drunken Sailor, travelling carillon bells, Cast in Bronze, Frank Della Penna, Colorado Renaissance Festival, Larkspur, 7/3/2010. Panasonic HDC-TM700P, 1080/60P, this was uploaded hi-def, so not sure how well that works over broadband ...

  • Possibly, that might be the effect he wanted, since Carillon bells have lots of harmonics that might be out of tune with themselves, and especially some of those harmonics might be recorded by my camera while some of the fundamentals are at lower volume... might look up the peculariarits of them on Wikipedia

  • Why is he dressed like a ninja?

  • I found these bells to be beautiful and haunting when I heard them for the first time today and the Renaissance Festival today. These bells are how I imagined todash chimes out of Stephen Kings Dark Tower books would sound.

  • is it supposed to sound bad??

  • This video worked fine over my own WiFi network at home, I got the full HD quality over Apple TV with stereo sound. It was great. I met this guy years ago when he was carillonneur at Valley Forge. His name is Frank Della Penna. Great performance on the traveling carillon.
