A short experimental film in which I attempt to make a video using only recorded speech and static images. In this one I give a rundown of my first attempt to play the demo of the Darkness.

This video should play in museums. Or maybe yahtzee has it on a constant loop in the trophy room of his palace.

And he talked faster and faster with every subsequent video.

Upon July 24, 2007, a true legend and hero among gamers, cynics and assholes alike was born.

Jesus, what is it with people on Youtube trying to prove some feeble point by talking out of their collective asses?

    First off, yes he did.

Second, none of that has anything to do with the original topic. Video games cost more in Australia because of the stricter rating system, higher cost of operations, and parallel import laws.

Third, 4.1% isn't that significant, and a slow growth over a decade doesn't make the currency stronger, because you can't guarantee that the growth will continue.

No he didn't say anything of the sort. He said that the Aus Dollar is "stronger" than the US one, meaning that the AUS $ - US $ exchange rate have been increasing. He then says that it has increased about 50 % over the last 10 years, a pretty significant 4,1 % average. (though in reality the increase to todays level actually started in 2008, so it is actually a 8,5 % a year increase over the duration)

Before you reply you should probably go through the chain back to the beginning and actually put it into context.

The original post was a guy asking if games really cost over $100 in Australia. He replied saying that they do and the reason is because the Australian dollar is stronger than the USD, which isn't true because they're only within a few cents of each other.

He then tried to talk his way out of looking stupid by bringing up nonsense from 10 years ago, which is entirely irrelevant.

    No it isn't?

He said that it used to be weaker (Way before this video, and the Darkness) and that the Austrailian minimum wage isn't actually high at all compared to parts of Europe.

In Scandinavia we got higher minimum wages than Australia (and far higher for 19 and 18 year olds), yet we pay 70 dollars for Bioshock infinite, while Australians have to pay almost 90.
