Actually, I'm not sure what to call this one. I was in the mood to do something bloody and my friend really wanted to jump in as a model. So I pretty much winged it from there. It started out as some sort of large boil that burst, but turned into a strangely intense chemical burn/scarring in the end... Haha, I just don't know what to call it! What do you guys think it looks like?

This was done in a rush, as I had less than 20 minutes to film before my camera ran out of memory. I also had to stop and charge it in the middle of filming. I really need to invest in a bigger memory card or an actual digital film camera.

This was done with the toilet paper and liquid latex technique. Hopefully I can get some new scar wax this summer. Liquid latex smells like old fish ass.

Constructive Crit. is always welcome. I know this is not the best work around (especially in 18 minutes) but I'm always wanting to learn how to improve. Thanks!

Music:
Whistle while you work - Snow White
Remains of the Day - Corpse Bride (Danny Elfman)
Kiss the Girl (Techno Remix) - The Little Mermaid (Need help I.Ding the actual remixer)

  • Well-done video - the final music choice maybe a little questionable, but good speedup, good camera angle, instructive without needing words =)

May I ask; what did you use to colour and blend in the wound - I see a makeup palette, but I'd love to know the specifics.

  • @Jakkaroo The music choice was a joke since a few of my friends mentioned how I should use happier music.

Color wise included olives, tan, brown, purple, dark reds, green, and yellow. I'm not sure I completely understand your question... did you want color specifics (the actual ben nye creme names) or tool specifics? (Sponges, generic cheapo paint brushes)

  • @PancakeRemix Thanks for the reply - upon watching your other videos I realised it was ben nye - which is beyond my budget/availability at the moment. I think I'll have to find some cheap facepaints =)

  • @Jakkaroo If you have any Party City's around you they carry those. Since it's after Halloween, there might be some sales going on. I've used a few creme-based make up paints from there before and they worked out fine. Good luck to you, though! :]

  • It was a temporary fault. Worked OK this evening. Interesting to see how the magic is created. Great choice of music, too.

  • @ThatsnewsTV Ah, well that's good to hear, and thanks! :]

  • fantastic makeup effect.

  • @ThatsnewsTV Hmm... I checked it out and it works for me. I'm not sure what the problem could be, unfortunately.

  • Can't get it to play past 2.25, for some reason. It just freezes at that point.

  • Wonderful musical selection friend XD and good work as usual!
