Braces Orthodontics Month #9

I'm loving the percocet for the pain! LOL This was a rough appointment. But no pain no gain!

Anree......
Your teeth are looking fabulous!! :)
My Ortho appointment is tomorrow...He metioned I might be starting my elastics then.... I am NOT looking foward to that!! My bottom teeth are not straightening out like they are wanting. They curve in and are not responding well to the retangular thick wire so they might start some more aggressive treatment. We will see. Anyhow, your teeth are looking wonderful. :D

I just got my braces on (I'm 23!) and Tylenol doesn't help either... What is Percocet and how can I get some? lol

Um... well.... it's a 'narcotic' that has to be prescribed by a dr. I had some from a dentist visit. I didn't get it from my ortho.

Have you asked your orthodontist about your gums being swollen?? Mine are like that toobut everytime I ask they just tell me to be sure to use mouthwash and they never answer my question of if that will go away once the braces come off. So if you know f that will go away and you could let me know that would be really helpful.. Thanks

I'm assuming that the gums are just reacting to the teeth moving. I just make sure to keep my teeth clean... I do notice that by the time for my next appointment they feel so much better and don't look so inflamed. So I'm also assuming that it will go away once this is all done! Sorry I'm not much help!

I believe I get them off in Sept '10. But I'm not positive. Because I am older my teeth move slower.
