I believe the actual "mark" is a visible mark to show the world, and proper authorities, that you have agreed to be entered into the system and have given your alliegence to the world leader (Antichrist). The taking of the chip now does not indicate you are accepting the "mark of the beast", however, you are one step closer to it when the day comes for forced control.
What will the mark look like? Name of the beast or number of his name. Maybe a bar code, actual 666 or a name remains to be seen
