An example of how to interact with large wall displays through hand tracking. The tracked hands are overlayed on the display. A good tracking will result in a nice picture on a hand as cursor. While not quite the technique can be used to do minority report like interaction.

  • Thank you for your comments. The project was discontinued. We tested out a system for interacting with technology in the operating theatre and the surgeons didn't like it. They needed to use their hands for other purposes so we ended up working with speech instead. However, some of the algorithms used were later ported to mobile phones where we used some of the same stuff for face tracking and tracking of objects. I think I have some videos of that too on Youtube.
