This is the side-by-side comparison of the original Inception trailer to the one I created for Kick-Ass (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qFcR2IYdfs). Please notice how the cuts are dead on accurate to the original (even the fades!). The theme of the movie is intact in my trailer as well.

  • hey,

I used Final Cut Pro. But please note, anyone can do the same thing even in Windows Movie Maker (albeit with much trouble). It doesn't really matter what software I used, all it matters is that things match and work well. If you watch most re-cut trailers on YT, you'll notice one theme in common: long unnecessary extended scenes which act nothing more than just fillers. I made this side-by-side to show how close I stayed with the original theme of the Inception trailer.

  • Yes please, tell us what software you used and how?! Great trailer!! :D

  • What software do you use?

  • How do you create side-by-side videos?

  • This is really good, well done. I need to make a side by side of my Inception Mashup as well, cause as you did, I recreated every cut from the original trailer.

  • Hahah nice! =)

  • Bravo! Great job. Hope to see more from you. 5*
