  • So far, this is the best version I have heard of this piece. It has that one foot in and one foot out of the grave sound, as though life is over. Extremely lonely sounding. Little to nothing more to live for other than the memories themselves. As a pianist of over 50 years, whatever the mood, it's very compelling.

    Cheers!

  • lovely video, love the way the score moves along smoothly with the music, beautifully played piece. brought back good memories when i could still play piano. thank you.....

  • @bhwst68 korean?

  • When this song was playing and Philippe Petit was walking across that tightrope. Amazing :).

  • I know that song from a Game/Movie or something else..

Is there a list to see where the song was used?

  • :)v.good

  • I knew this piece in the movie "Corina Corina" with Woopy Goldberg, i love Satie, is like a musical iridescence...

  • :_]

  • @bhwst68 This has probably been used in a lot of films, but a more recent one is a documentary called Man on Wire. Fantastic film, I'd recommend it to anyone.

  • I think it was used in a film...but I can´t remember the name. Do you?

  • You want the sheet music? Google is your friend.

  • Beautiful.
