  • i guess i'm a little slow.... but, i am not understanding how you did the background. are you putting the embossing pad down and clear embossing, then stamping over it? sorry, i just am not understanding but i love it. i understand a resist technique, but this one has thrown me. thanks for the help. love this effect!

  • @babyblueagle1 I think it actually may be the actual stamp that is throwing you off. It is a bold stamp that is leaving the openings that I color. It's kind of like a negative. I stamped it with clear ink & embossing powder on ivory paper. All of the area's that are left behind are the things like the flowers & birds & butterflies. Hope that helps you. JIL

  • Beautiful effects! I just got 7 of the stains and need to play with them more. I got some glassine paper over the weekend and really want to try them with that. TFS, Heather

  • @ThePaperCastle You're really going to like them. They are really intense. The glassine is super cool. I am plannin got play around with it today. I want to make flowers with it first. They look really fun. Thanks, JIL

  • Do you think you could do a video of the stamps because i dont really get what you mean

  • Thank you so much for sharing I am inspire to try the tint you make look easy!!!!

  • @stampyra i think i have it figured it out, let me know if this is right... you inked the flower stamp with versamark, and BEFORE putting it to the paper you stamped the flower stamp with the tim holtz stamp, therefore removing the versamark from off of the flower stamp, mainly the blank space. is this correct? one more thing... what is the name and brand of the stamp set with the flowers. LOVE IT! I appreciate your response and this great tutorial! ;) Thanks for sharing with all of us!

  • i think it's the kissing part more that is throwing me... are you just embossing again with a second stamp or at the same time as the flower stamp? i THINK i get it now... but, is the tim holtz stamp showing over the flowers too?
