Database.com is a cloud database from salesforce.com. This cloud database is scalable and highly available. On top of it you can use it for FREE as long as you have less than 100,000 records. Once the account is setup, you get an email from sales force. com. Once we log into the DB portal, we cover the GUI layout, system overview and Admin setup.

Using New Custom object, we create a new table in cLoud computing dAtabase. Next we use Admin setup - import custom objects to load up the data in database.com. We are going to import customer list from a CSV format file into the CLOUD DB. Finally we can use SOQL to pull the information back using Workbench tool.
