the flashes you saw below the cab, is the firebox...it's hard to believe there is such a huge fire in there...but it takes a lot of heat to boil that much water...Thanks Skip , great job as always...mt favorite is still leaving Greely Colo....I watched that over and over....

Magnifiicent video -- takes me back many a decade to the 'golden eera' of steam locomotives and my fiirst trip west on such a 'great lady' from Dayton, Ohio, to Los Angeles, Californiia - 3 days of glorious and luxurious travel we don't see today (when we had the time to enjoy life!).
