  • The expanation is: Ray Chen 1st because he is the youngest, Lorenzo Gatto 2nd because he is Belgian and Ilian Garnet 3rd because he is the best.

    Garnet is a pro. He has already been recognized as among the best young violonists in Europe;

  • I just saw the whole concert on television. No doubt Ilian had to receive the first place. I don't get to understand competitions...

  • @jasonform dear jason. I think your comment shows a very frustrated personality. So, you may better go practice, and play at least 10% of Garnet's technick and expresivity, and then you'll change your mind. ;)

  • It's called politics. That's why you have violinists like borisoglebsky win first at sibelius and kreisler competition and then fifth at queen elisabeth. It's all subjective and it comes to personal tastes and bias. fact is, they are all at such high level that there is not much difference among them, imo.

  • why this piece has become popular is beyond me.

  • WOWWW......I love watching every min of it:))) great job:)

  • The best violinist in the competition, Third price...well for politicians in music... first prize for all audience!! congratulations Garnet, You really play from the heart!

  • @jetc10 I couldn't agree more

  • I completely agree with Scisseron!!!

  • He is dragging the tempo...

  • Some part not enthuastic

  • I think you are crazy yes,because the only thing oistrakh and garnet have in common is beeing fat,the rest i don t see nothing in common ,it is like comparing a shit car with a rolls royce.Go learn something about violin before making stupid comments...
